Getting “Bach” to the Bench!
It’s almost time to welcome our students “Bach” to the bench for another school year! Are you ready yet? I’m still working on picking out new music, printing resources, and planning an incentive program. (Thankfully we don’t start the fall schedule until Sept. 10th!)
Simple Welcome Back Idea
One of my welcome back ideas is to engage with my students about what songs they’re listening to right now. I’m always interested to learn about the music my students love! It helps us to connect AND gives me ideas for what my student might want to learn this year.
This year I created a little photo prop that has a blank for students to fill out with the title of their current favorite song. (I’ll laminate it so that I only need to print one!) We’ll take pictures at the piano and they’ll get added to my “Bach to the Bench” wall!
(And of course, I included a hashtag so that my students think I’m hip. Or something.
’cause using hashtags means that you’re totally cool…
… or maybe that’s so 3 years ago.
It’s still cool, right?!?)
