Harvest the Music Winners

Last month the studio participated in a food drive for the Community Food Warehouse of Mercer County. “Harvest the Music” was one of the ways we gave back to our community this year. Students were asked to bring in donations of food, baby items, and personal hygiene products throughout the month of November.

To make this drive more interactive, I offered prizes to the top 3 donators: iTunes gift cards or sheet music of their choice. We kept track of donations with a “Turkey Trot” chart that was posted prominently in the studio. Here’s a glimpse of what it looked like part-way through our drive:

The response was fantastic! It was a really close race, and we actually ended up with a 3-way tie for 3rd place. Congratulations to the Top 5 donators for our November food drive:

Top Donators:

Abbey B.

Emily D

Mia L.

Gianna L.

Ava M.

Thanks to everyone who participated! We filled four big plastic bins with donations, and also received a monetary donation as well. These donations will be delivered to the Community Food Warehouse of Mercer County.

Hunger is right here in Mercer County. 13.5% of residents in Mercer County struggle to put enough food on the table each day. Help make their season a little brighter by donating today.
