You Are Enough
Dear Music Teaching Friend,
Right now, I’m seeing a lot of teachers (myself included) who are feeling overwhelmed. The brave changes you’ve made in your business over the past two months are immense, and with daily shifts being made to our stay-at-home orders and business requirements, it can feel frustrating to keep up to date.
And so I kept this past week’s message simple:
In those moments when I find myself scrambling to absorb daily onslaughts of information so that I can keep up with the latest studio innovations and requirements… I remind myself to pause. And I think about the words one of my dear students and friends gave to me.
You are enough.
You are so enough.
It’s unbelievable how much enough you are.
Taking the time to meditate on these simple and powerful words allows me to (somewhat) release the expectation that I need to be everything to everyone at all moments. And to find gratitude for the ways I am currently showing up for my clients, my business, my friends, and myself.
I hope you enjoy this broadcast… huge thanks to the teachers who have been chiming in with words of wisdom and powerful affirmations.
Show Notes from the Broadcast:
- You are enough as at teacher. You are a skilled educator who has everything they need to show up for your students on a daily basis. You know how to teach the things <3
- You are enough as a business owner. You know how to show up for your business and for your clients during times of uncertainty. Your skills are valuable and you will survive these changes with grace and grit.
- You are enough as a friend and family member. You do not have to be everything to everyone at all moments. You are enough as a mother and a father. You are enough as a homeschool teacher. You are enough as a friend.
- You are enough as a person. You do not have to be perfect in these moments. You are allowed to have moments of doubt. You are allowed to have moments of anger. You are allowed to feel the feels. <3
